Review: Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer

LM concealer

If you are looking for a good no budge concealer, go ahead and read up.

I have been watching the lovely Lisa Eldridge youtube videos for numerous times. She is a professional make up artiste who produce incredible tutorials. I noticed that the same product keep appearing on her video as the choice of concealer. Naturally, anyone would be drawn to her recommendations. Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage concealer have been in her kit for years.

For Laura Mercier in Singapore, they arrive in 6 shades instead of 8. I purchased this concealer during Sephora’s Private Sales. I relied on Tempalia Foundation Matrix application to view the suitable shade my skintone. So far, SC5 colour matched perfectly for me. I am a medium tan shade also known as NC40 for MAC or Barcelona for NARS.

It took me quite a while to get use to this concealer. Here is the tricky part. Since this concealer is a dry cream/waxy texture, you have to be your own artiste to mix both colours with a tiny bit of foundation or moisturiser to match your skin. It creases on under eye lids, so I guess it is not suitable to conceal the dark circles.

Best suited with small concealer brush to conceal the acne area then with a fluffy brush (MAC 217). I use the affordable Zoeva 142 Concealer Buffer to buff it until invisible. Apply your base as per normal. Spot with concealer, buff the area and repeat if the spot is still visible, then powder it. Watch Lisa Eldridge natural flawless skin technique.

Laura Mercier produced an incredible formula for their no-budge concealer. Due to their dry consistency, it remain untouch. I foresee that this concealer will be a repeat favourite of mine that last for a long time.
